Joan F. Bonner, age 91, passed away March 13, 2024. She was born November 26, 1932 to Warren and Mary McLaughlin in Pocahontas County, West Virginia.
Known as “Annie” by her dad and friends. Spelled Joan, she was known by everyone as Joann.
Joan loved to spend time with her loving and devoted husband, family and friends, working on crafts, and quilting. She also enjoyed gardening and working on her exquisite garden, cultivating some of her favorite blooms such as Asian lilies and Roses—among many others.
Preceded in death by her sisters, Betty and Diane, and brothers, George and Gary.
Survived by her husband of 71 years, James Lewis Bonner; son Gregory Bonner (wife, Victoria); grandsons James (husband, Randy) and Joshua; sisters, Patricia (wife, Cynthia) and Mary; brother, David; and many nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, March 27 from 5 P.M. to 7 P.M. at Cox-McNulty Funeral Home, 222 Norton Ave., Barberton, Ohio. Respecting her wishes, Joan will be cremated and laid to rest one day with her husband in California.
