Jody Rae LaFollette, age 73 went to her eternal home on June 20, 2025 knowing because of her faith in Christ Jesus she is “Absent from the body, present with the Lord.” 

Born on August 24, 1951 in Akron, Ohio, she was the oldest Daughter to the late Wayne and Bonnie (Dove) LaFollette.  

Jody graduated from Green High School, class of 1969.

Although Jody never had children of her own, she made sure that she would always be the favorite Aunt. She would spoil the nieces and nephews with trips to Cedar Point and random bags of junk food, and therefore would always cherish the name “Junk Food Jo Jo!”

Jody loved to sing and play the piano which she did for many years at Grace and Truth Church in Wadsworth Ohio. She also directed several children's Christmas plays which were always a big hit!

Besides her parents; Jody was preceded in death by her Brother, Paul Edward LaFollette; Nephew, Brandon Colelli; Brother-in-law, Bob Sanker; Great Niece, Annabelle Jones; and Great Nephew, Ezra Jones.     

Jody is survived by her siblings, Gary LaFollette (Kay), D’Ann Sanker, Vona Colelli (Rick); many Nieces and Nephews, Christen, Stacey, Nathan, Heather, Rachelle, Megan, Amanda, Jason, Christopher, Sean, Shannon; and many many more Great Nieces and Nephews.

There will be a small family gathering to celebrate Jody’s life at a later date.
