Joseph Clark Obituary

This is an address change notification. Joseph Carlyle Clark permanently moved within heaven’s pearly gates on November 12, 2021 surrounded in his home by his family. The family rejoices because there is no more pain or suffering. To be absent from the body is to be in the presence of the Lord. Joseph is now in the presence of the king!

Joseph was born August 7, 1951 in Lancaster, Ohio. He graduated Brunswick High School in 1969 and Apostolic Bible Institute in 1972. Joseph faithfully worked at Swagelok for 39 years.

Joseph and his wife, Linda, of 48 years served as pastor of Apostolic Church of Brunswick. Before and after his retirement he was a faithful member of the Apostolic Church of Barberton for over 25 years. Joseph is proceeded in death by his brothers Keith Disbennet, Zearnie Disbennet, his father Francis Thompson, father-in-law William Bess, mother-in-law Ilo Bess, brothers-in-law Dennis Young and Bill Bess.

Joseph is survived by his wife Linda Clark of 48 years. During his fight with ALS she became his dedicated nurse.  She fed, clothed and bathed him when he no longer could. Family watched as her hands and feet became the hands of Jesus, for her example we are grateful. Joseph is survived by his children Robin (Anbu) Kuppusamy, Tiffany (Timothy) Stults, Christopher (Samantha) Clark and grandchildren Hunter Kuppusamy, Alana Stults, Roman Kuppusamy, Nash Kuppusamy, Lyla Stults, Mena Kuppusamy, Lucas Clark. Joseph is also survived by his mother Frieda Thompson along with sisters Kathryn Byers and Freida Mason, brothers Timothy Clark, Steve Thompson and Mark Thompson.

Joseph was a prayer warrior with a fervent love for the Lord. Many were touched by his prayers and faithfulness.

A very special thank you to the caregivers of Crossroads Hospice for their love and support for both Joseph and his family. The memorial service will held at The Apostolic Church, 1717 Turkeyfoot Lake Rd, Barberton, Ohio, at 7:00pm, Tuesday, November 16, 2021. (Calling hours and viewing will begin at 6:00pm) Bishop Rod Pamer and Pastor Paul Pamer will officiate.

Private burial will be the following day.
