Josephine “Josie” Karos, age 84, passed away March 12, 2025. She was born on May 7, 1940, to Tom and Jean Karos. She graduated from Barberton High School in 1959 and was a member of the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church. 

Josie retired from Bank One after 40 years. She enjoyed spending time with her great nieces and nephews, telling stories about her Greek Heritage, and taking care of all her animals.

Preceded in death by her parents, Tom and Jean; and her brothers: Gus and Tom.

Survived by her brother, Bill (Brenda); her nieces: Heather (Floyd), Lisa and Noula (Shawn); her nephews: Gus (Pat), Alex (Sue) and Tom (Anna); her sister-in-law, Joanne; and numerous other nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Calling hours are Thursday, March 20, 2025, from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. at Cox-McNulty Funeral Home, 222 Norton Avenue, Barberton, Ohio. Graveside service will be Friday, March 21, 2025, at 11:00 a.m., at the Lakewood Cemetery, 1080 West Waterloo Road, Akron, Ohio.
