June (Klotzley) Russell Obituary

JUNE KLOTZLEY RUSSELL, age 91, of Homerville, Ohio, went home to be with the Lord surrounded by her family on December 8, 2024. She was born April 19, 1933, in Salem, Ohio and graduated from Ohio State University where she played the cornet in the marching band. She retired from Westfield Insurance where she worked as a Senior Systems Analyst. She was married to her loving husband, Ralph Russell Sr., for 58 years until he was taken to his heavenly home, and she missed him deeply for the last 12 years. She was a member of Rittman First Wesleyan Church where she played the piano still at 91 years old, even after losing her eyesight. Ralph and June traveled to many countries in Work and Witness Teams for Nazarene Missions. They also went on various adventures around the world.


Preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Russell Sr.; son, Robert Russell; and brother, Joe Klotzley. Survived by her children: Lenna (Harold David) Knox, Ralph William Russell Jr., Linda Russell and Holly (Chad) Neokratis; four grandsons: Jonathan Knox, Andrew, Parker and Carter Neokratis; and three granddaughters: Sunny (Chris Newberry and son, Eli), Lenna and Emaline Neokratis; and over 80 nieces and nephews.


Calling hours will be held Saturday, December 14, 2024, from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. with the funeral service following at First Wesleyan Church, 74 Fairlawn Avenue, Rittman with Pastors Larry Chaffins and Howard Russell officiating. Burial at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery.


In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the First Wesleyan Church of Rittman for Mission Outreach.
