Never goodbye, but we'll see you soon.

Maria, named after Saint Teresa de Jesus, embodied the essence of her namesake throughout her life's journey.

She walked in communion with God daily, and honored the words of Saint Teresa in her Poem “Nada Te Turbe”: “Nada te turbe, nada te espante, todo se pasa, Dios no se muda, la paciencia, todo lo alcanza, quien a Dios tiene, nada le falta, solo Dios basta.”

Maria was known for her own sacred words, “que dios te cuide y guarde y ande contigo, always.”

Maria was more than a mother; she embodied maternal love, preferring to be called "mom" by all. Her essence was a union of both devotion to God and unwavering commitment to her family. Her resolute faith carried her through life's trials, enabling her to embrace every moment with grace.

In the heart of her home, Maria could be found dancing to Mexican rancheras. Though she appreciated all music.

An enthusiast of bingo and La Lotería, she indulged in penny slots at the casino as a guilty pleasure.

Known for her spirited demeanor and quick wit, Maria's charisma endeared her to all who crossed her path. Her candid humor sparked laughter, and her warmth enveloped everyone around her.

Maria's cooking was legendary; she could effortlessly transform leftovers into a feast for the entire family. Her food nourished not just the body but also the soul of her family. She made the best migas, tamales, tortillas, and atole.

As a devoted wife to Julian, Maria exemplified loyalty and devotion, standing steadfastly by her husband's side until his last breath. Her tender care and affection epitomized the essence of marital devotion. Julian adored his wife.

Simple in her desires, Maria sought only to walk alongside God, enjoy music, and be in the presence of her family. Her absence leaves a void in our hearts, but her legacy of kindness and love will illuminate our lives for eternity.
