Marilyn "Jingle" Kain Obituary

Wadsworth, Ohio – A private graveside service will be held at a later date for Marilyn “Jingle” Kain who passed away on May 25, 2025.


Jingle was known for her cooking, baking, family and neighborhood get togethers, her love of bowling, cryptograms and jigsaw puzzles but especially playing and singing the old songs. She was born June 23, 1930, in Zanesville, Ohio to E. Edgar and Anna Offinger Cox. She was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Russell A. Kain; two sisters: Bonnie Coleman and Marjorie Brennen; and two granddaughters: Jennifer L. Jones and Dora Boyer; one great grandson, William Lee.


She is survived by three daughters: Debbie (Gary) Lake, Judy (Cliff) Jones and Kathy (Mike) Granger; 12 grandchildren: Shane Granger, Tim (Kerri) Lake, Bryan Walker, Heidi (Daniel) Pabón, Jill (Joshua) Heinze, Lindsay (Mike) James, Evan (Ravan) Walker, Andrea (Joshua Gant) Jones, Jennifer (Michael Acheson) Jones, Maribeth (Marcus Stockdale) Jones, Alyssa Jones and David Jones; 28 great-grandchildren: Sarah, Chase, Aubrey, Kaitlyn, Kylie, Ashley, Jaidyn, Morgan, Aidan, Hayden, Averie, Kamyn, Saige, Broagen, Addison, Madalyn, Marleigh, Hunter,  Alexis, Everlie, Caiden, Kendra, Asher, twins: Hannah and Abigail, Anden, Trevor and Myla; three great-great grandchildren: Asher, Magnolia and Alaia; sister-in-law, Eleanor (Kain) Katsampes; several cousins, many nieces, nephews and close family friends.


Special thanks to her caregiver, Kathy Weaver, and the folks at The Woodlands of Liberty Assisted Living in Wadsworth for taking such great care of our precious Mom.


Jingle will be buried beside Russell, her first love, at the Dresden Cemetery, Dresden, Ohio. In lieu of flowers, please donate to your favorite charity.
