Marilyn Faye Tupper (nee Boring) of Barberton, Ohio received her angel wings on January 26, 2023 after a short illness at Pleasant View nursing facility with her family by her side.

Marilyn is preceded in death by mother, Sylvia (Phillips) Boring; father, Theodore E. Boring; brothers, Jackie and William Boring; granddaughter, Brittany Watson; grandson, Lowell Mayle; and great-grandson, Kevin Alvin Scott Coyle.

She is survived by her significant other, Dale “Digger” Brown; daughters, Tina Coyle of Pleasant City, and Lori Brown (Randy Weathers) of Akron; sons, Elmer and Wayne Brown; twenty-four grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren; and cousin, Janice (Gary) Woods.

Marilyn was a crossing guard for twenty-some years for the Barberton City Schools before retiring. She worked at Barberton Speedway and was a waitress for various local restaurants throughout the years as well. In her free time she enjoyed fishing, shopping, long car rides, going out to eat, baking, crafts, and spending time with her family and friends. She was also an active member of Winning Side Baptist Church in Norton.

The family would like to thank the nursing staff at Traditions Health Service for all their care.

Cremation has taken place per her wishes and a graveside service will be officiated by Pastor Tim Hileman Sr. at a later date. The family is holding a celebration of life ceremony on February 18, 2023, from 12-4 pm at Winning Side Baptist Church (3200 Easton Rd, Norton, OH 44203).
