Marjorie Ann Novak

Marjorie Ann Novak, 67, of Barberton, Ohio, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, October 2, 2023. 

With Ken Novak, Sr., Marjorie was the proud mother of three children, James Walter, (deceased), Kenneth G (Maria) of Norton, and Theresa Marie (partner Joe Burgess) of North Canton.  She was the grandmother to Emmie Grace Novak, Cecilia Burgess, and George Burgess.  She is also survived by her long-time partner, Joe Torrez, and her beloved dog, Jack.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Eugene Buza.  She is survived by sisters Carol Powell of Akron; Joanne McWilliams (Jerry) of Akron; Patricia Wiczen (Bill) of Cuyahoga Falls; brothers James McGlone (Patty) of Elyria; Michael McGlone (Sue) of Akron; and a step brother, John Custer, also of Akron.

Marjorie was especially fond of beautiful sunsets, making crafts, reading a good book, and most importantly spending time with her grandchildren.  She loved playing with them and watching them grow up.  She enjoyed spending time at the farm with them where they would feed and care for the animals, take long walks through the pasture and ride around on the golf cart.   

Marjorie was a strong woman who faced some difficult times in her life, but she never gave up.  She learned to ride out the storms no matter how fierce they were.  She worked hard to provide for her family and raise her children to be strong and independent.  

Friends may call at Barberton Bible Holiness Church located at 375 37th St SW, Barberton Ohio on Friday, October 13th beginning at 2PM.  A funeral service will be held at 3PM following visitation at the church.
