Mark E. Smith, age 61, passed away March 17, 2023. He was born in Barberton, OH on March 13, 1962, to Catherine “Katy” M. (nee: Snyder) and the late Jack E. Smith. Mark was a crossing guard for Wadsworth City Schools and a diehard Ohio State fan. He was involved with Boy Scouts and loved kids, especially his nieces and nephews. He enjoyed spending time with his family who will greatly miss him.

Preceded in death by his father, Jack E. Smith and stepfather, Richard Curley.

He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Jacque; mother, Katy Jones (nee: Russ); stepmother, Marilyn Smith; brothers, David (Marilyn), Dennis, and Kevin; stepbrother, James Abson; brothers-in-law, Timothy Kelly & Thomas Kelly; sister, Cathy (Glenn) Blake; step-sister, Michelle (Brian) Cleckner; sister-in-law, Beth (John) Koczur; 22 nephews, 23 nieces, 21 great-nephews, and 12 great- nieces; and many extended family and friends.

Funeral Services will be held, THURSDAY, March 23, 2023 at 12:00pm at Cox- McNulty Funeral Home, 1376 High Street, Wadsworth. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 10:00-12:00pm at the funeral home. Burial will take place at Woodlawn Cemetery, Wadsworth.
