Mary June Higgins, age 68, went to be with our Savior Jesus Christ on May 31, 2024.  Mary was born on September 12, 1955, to the late Arnold Hamlin and Betylou Williams.  She was a beloved daughter, sister, aunt, mother and grandmother to many.  Mary had a calling to love and care for people and became a home health-aid but will be most remembered for how she took in and cared for so many children.

Along with her parents, Mary was preceded in death by her sister, Phyllis Jean Upchurch (Dean W. Upchurch).  She leaves behind siblings: Michael J. Hamlin, Eilajune F. Wade (Randy Wade), Viola M. McLaughlin and Jonathon D. Hamlin (Connie Hamlin).  Mary’s children include: James D. Higgins II, Pamela M. Higgins, Jonathon O. Higgins (Leslie Higgins).  Nieces and nephews include: Deanna, Michael, Monica, Ryan, Amanda, Colleen, Christine, Jonathon, and Jamie, along with many greats.  She leaves behind her beloved grandchildren: Steven, Miracle, and Thomas Higgins.  She will be greatly missed by everyone.

A public visitation will be held Wednesday, June 5, 2024, from 5:00 – 7:00 pm at Cox-McNulty Funeral Home, 222 Norton Avenue, Barberton, Ohio 44203. Private interment will be held at Greenlawn Cemetery, 2580 Romig Road, Akron, Ohio 44320.
