Michael Alan Swartz

Michael Alan Swartz, 65 of Wadsworth, Ohio passed away on April 20, 2023 at Barberton City Hospital. He lost his fight to cancer after three years.

Michael was born and raised in Wadsworth. He was an over the road truck driver from the age of 18 years old and loved the long open road. He enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson Motorcycle to Phil’s restaurant in Port Clinton for some spaghetti. He had a passion for rebuilding his GTO classic cars and cruising to a car show. You could catch him having a quiet evening at home listening to his “tunes” (classical rock) and watching the birds come and go from his porch. If you pulled up to the house he would be “tinkering” around the yard or in the garage. He loved spending time with his family and friends. 

Michael is preceded in death by his grandparents on the Welty, Swartz, and Rohrer side. 

Michael is survived by his wife, Mary Diane Swartz. His Daughters, Kristie (Ben) Dulin and Shawna (Brent Abney) Swartz; His grandchildren, Makenzie and Olivia Dulin, Cullen, Charlee and Waylon Michael Abney; His Father Thomas and Mother Linda Swartz, Brothers; Mark Swartz, Jim (Laura) Swartz and and his Sister Judy (Tony) DiPietro and many nieces and nephews. 

A Celebration of Life will be held at the Fraternal Order of Eagles, 9953 Rittman Rd, Wadsworth, OH 44281 on July 8, 2023 from 3 to 8pm
