Mildred Spencer Obituary

Mildred Spencer, 87 went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday April 17, 2023.


Mildred was born in Belington, WV on June 23, 1935. She and Darl moved to Akron in 1955. She was a member of Faith Baptist Church and the Chippewa Rifle Club. She was a teacher at heart. She taught Sunday School for over 60 years and was a 4H advisor for over 40 years. Mildred was known for her amazing pancakes with her homemade syrup. She was an avid hunter and enjoyed hunting with her family. Most importantly, she loved her Lord and Savior and would tell everyone about Him.



Mildred was preceded in death by her husband, Darl Spencer; mother, Edna Button; brother, Howard Price, Son-In-Law, Mark Ziegler.
Mildred is survived by 5 children Karen (Ray) Futrell, Mark (Cathy) Spencer, Daniel (Connie) Spencer, Ellen Ziegler, Virginia Stefanko, 18 Grandchildren, 27 Great Grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.


Visitation will be held at Faith Baptist Church, 1259 Aberth Dr., Akron OH, on Monday April 24, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. with service to follow at 1:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers contributions can be made in her honor to Eurasian Baptist Missions. (https://www.eurasianbaptistmission.com)
