Obituary
Pastor Albert “Abe” Hileman went home to be with the Lord on June 8, 2023. Abe was born in West Union, West Virginia on May 24, 1927. He was the last surviving of twelve children.
Abe served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He retired from B&W after more than 30 years and was a Pastor at Winning Side Baptist Church in Norton, Ohio.
Abe was preceded in death by his wife of over 20 years, Charlotte Hileman; and his son, Dennis Hileman.
He is survived by daughter, Diane Baker; five grandchildren, Jenny McWilliams, Michael Matthews, Kevin Matthews, Michelle Sutter, and Curtis Baker II; nine great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and sister-in-law, Hazel Hileman; and many extended family members and friends.
Special thanks to the staff at The Gables of Green assisted living facility and Harmonycares Hospice for taking such great care of "Grandpa" while in their care.
Funeral Services will be held, Friday, June 16, 2023, at 2:00pm at Cox- McNulty Funeral Home, 222 Norton Ave, Barberton, with Abe’s nephew, Pastor Tim Hileman, officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1:00-2:00pm at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Lakewood Cemetery, Akron, Ohio.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Winning Side Baptist Church, 3200 Easton Rd, Norton, Ohio.
