"Together Again"

Pauline Sue Linger, age 82, went home to be with the Lord on February 23rd, 2024. She was surrounded by family and passed peacefully being sang into heaven by her family.

Pauline loved the Lord, serving faithfully for most of her life. She was a member of the Apostolic Church of Barberton, she also attended Calvary Apostolic Church of Akron and New Life Tabernacle. She loved the lord with her whole heart. She taught Sunday school for several years alongside her faithful husband Bob Linger. She took many active parts in the church, singing in the ladies’ quartet, the choir and played many instruments as a self-taught musician. Bob and Pauline always enjoyed the National Quartet Convention and went to all of the gospel concerts in the area. She worked for many years at BFG Credit Union where she retired from. She was a beloved daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.

She is preceded in death by her life partner of 59 years Bob Linger, parents Theodore and Elizabeth Barkley, brothers Philip and Timothy Barkley, sister Janice Goodrich, and grandson Zack Linger.

She is survived by her children; Nelson (Patty) Linger, Shirley (Ron) Hackathorn, and Raymond Linger (Jennifer). Her 9 grandchildren; Ashley (Andrew) Edwards, Amanda, Russell, Dallas, Kimberly, Jessica, and Brooklyn Hackathorn, Jacob (Haley) Linger, and Kaleb Linger. And her 4 great-grandchildren; Eli Linger, Elliana and Easton Edwards, and Kierston Taugner. Family member Crystal Linger and brother Art Barkley.

We want to thank son Raymond Linger and Gentiva Hospice including Robyn, Rachel, Laura, Holly, Jen, and Judy. Special thanks to Stacey Whited for all of her kindness to our mother, she made every day brighter and was dearly loved by Pauline.

Funeral service will be Tuesday, February 27, 2024 at 7:00 pm at Apostolic Church of Barberton, 1717 Turkeyfoot Lake Rd, Barberton with Pastor Paul Pamer and Bishop Rod Pamer officiating. Visitation will be from 6-7 pm prior to the service at the church. Private burial will be at Greenlawn Cemetery.
