Penelope "Penny" Hensley

Penelope “Penny” Hensley (nee: Smith, Stanley), age 76, went Home to be with the Lord on July 16, 2023.

She was born in East Liverpool, Ohio on March 20, 1947, to the late Fred and Patricia Smith. Penny was a US Air Force veteran and worked many years at Wire Products in Cleveland.

In her spare time, Penny enjoyed traveling to the beach and when she didn’t live in the West, she liked to travel out West. She also liked to spend time quilting, gardening, reading, and spending time with her family. Her feisty, stubborn nature will be missed by her family and those who loved her.

Preceded in death by her parents; husband, Jimmie Hensley; twin sister, Pamela Bess; brother, Thomas Smith; sisters-in-law, Sharon Smith, and Dottie Smith; and brother-in-law, Lonnie Morris.

Penny is survived by her children, Allen (Cindy) Smith, Donald (Jessica) Stanley, Candance Stanley, and Joyce (Robert) Bailey; grandchildren, Allen “Dude”, William “Billy”, Alyssa Thompson, Michael (Krista) Kelley II, Samantha (Mark) Bigley, and Dylan Stanley; great-grandchildren, Isaiah, Shayna, Tyler, Logan, Averii, Noah, Braelynn, Dustan, Gabrielle, Jaxon, Wyatt, and Michael III; brother, Fred Smith; sisters, Sandy Morris and Cynthia (Jeff) Adamson; brother-in-law, Larry Bess; and many extended family and friends.

Funeral Services will be held, TUESDAY, July 25, 2023, at 12:30pm at Cox- McNulty Funeral Home, 1376 High Street, Wadsworth. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service from 11:30-12:30pm at the funeral home. Burial with full military honors will take place at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery, Seville.
