Phyllis V. Starcher (nee Stutler), age 93, went to be with the Lord on April 13, 2026.

She was born March 10, 1933 in Grantsville, West Virginia. Her life was spent living for the Lord. She was a member of the Winning Side Baptist Church and attended the Eastern Road Church of God. Phyllis enjoyed working with the youth and visiting nursing homes. She also loved spending time with her family and friends and reading her Bible daily.

Phyllis is preceded in death by her husband, Alva Starcher; son, Johnny Lee Starcher; son-in-law, David Cole; sister, Dolores (Buford) Griffin; and her parents, Ray and Tressie Stutler.

She is survived by her daughter, Brenda Cole; sister, Margie (Harlan) Scott; Diannia Higgins who was like a daughter; and many extended family and friends.

The family would like to thank the staff of Summa Hospice for all of their compassion and care for Phyllis.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Winning Side Baptist Church (3200 Easton Rd, Norton, OH 44203).

Family will accept friends Friday, April 17, 2026 from 12:00 – 1:00 p.m. at Eastern Road Church of God, with funeral services to follow, officiated by Pastor Tim Hileman and Pastor Faron Cole. Interment will take place at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Akron, Ohio.
