Randy Jay Farnsworth

Randy Jay Farnsworth, age 60, passed away on June 1, 2026.

Randy was born on October 30, 1965 in Medina, Ohio. He graduated from Highland High School before obtaining a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Akron. Randy served as a Development Engineer at Dow and a Quality Assurance Manager at Acro Tool & Die.

He loved to travel and visited places such as Yosemite, Florida, Grand Canyon, Acadia, Finger Lakes, Joshua Tree, and Europe. He had a love for all cars, but his favorite were Corvettes. He also enjoyed photography and spending time with his family and friends.

Randy is preceded in death by his father, Marvin (Mert) Farnsworth, and his stepfather, Gene Sir Louis.

He is survived by his mother, Shirley Sir Louis; siblings, Vicki (Tracy) Fortner, Dave Sir Louis, and Elizabeth Sir Louis; his long-time girlfriend, Jennifer Hetkey; nieces, Rebecca (Jake) Thompson, Jaclyn (Derek) Jenkin, Alyssa (Steve) Hilton, and Emma Fortner; and great-nieces and nephews, Sophie and Grayson Jenkin, and Miracle, Avyanna, Nevada, and D Hilton.

A memorial service will take place at St. Paul Lutheran Church on Friday, June 26, 2026 at 6:00 p.m. with visitation prior from 4:00-6:00 p.m. at the church.
