Rebecca Ann Wright (née Jarrell), age 80, passed from this life to eternity very peacefully on August 23, 2025. She joins her precious husband, Carl; son, Cub; and a host of family and loved ones including her mother and grandparents joyously awaiting her arrival. Rebecca was a kind, sweet, faithful, loving woman who loved all and was loved by all. 

Born in Ravenna, Ohio, on December 5, 1944, she grew up in Mogadore and lived most of her adult life in Akron. She married the love of her life, Carl, in July 1963, and began a family with three children. Rebecca was a hard worker – laboring as unto the Lord – doing whatever was needed to help provide for her family, and later for her six grandchildren. She was faithful to her church as well, working alongside her husband and family doing everything she could in service to God’s kingdom.

Preceded in death by her husband, Carl Wright Sr.; her son, Carl Wright Jr.; her grandson, Brandon Wright; great-grandson, Van Sieker; and her brother, Jim Jarrell. She leaves many behind to mourn her loss and celebrate her life: son, Rick Wright of Akron; daughter, Teresa (Jim) Horvath of Canal Fulton; daughter, Victoria Wright of Fultondale, AL; nephew, Ed (Tina) Wright of Lewes DE; grandchildren, CJ Wright of Columbus; Alex (Taylor) Horvath of Canal Fulton; Nathan (Rose) Sieker of Barberton; Chris Sieker and Julie (Evan) Wright of Norton; and great-grandchildren: Ashton Horvath, Oliver Sieker, Margeaux Wright, Henry Sieker, and Peyton Horvath. She is also survived by her sister, Clara (Denny) Hanni of Hartville; brother Gary (Julie) Lancaster of Suffield; and sisters-in-law: Ruth Willard, Lois (Mike) Hill, Joyce Wright; and a multitude of extended family and dear friends whom she loved.

The family would like to especially thank and honor Pastor Tim and Pam Jensen, the wonderful staff at Chapel Hill Community, and Southern Hospice Care for how lovingly they cared for our precious Rebecca. 

Visitation will be Thursday, August 28, 2025, at 6:00 p.m. with a Memorial Service to follow at 7:00 p.m. at Cox-McNulty Funeral Home, 222 Norton Avenue, Barberton, Ohio with Pastor Tim Jensen officiating. Private burial on Friday.
