Richard E. Harrod

Richard E. Harrod, age 77, passed away December 4, 2022, after a brief illness. He was born in Akron, Ohio and attended the University of Akron. Richard worked as a Construction Estimator for Ruhlin Construction and Lathrop. He enjoyed being outdoors, exercising, taking walks with his dogs, swimming, spending time with his grandchildren, and was an avid reader.

He will be deeply missed by his wife of 53 years, Dolores; sons, Brian (Rachel) and Adam (Sarah); grandchildren, Holden, Hadley, Hudson, Genevieve, and Bennett; and sister, Patricia DeFreest.

The family will receive friends SATURDAY, December 10, 2022, from 11:00-1:00pm at Cox- McNulty Funeral Home, 1376 High Street, Wadsworth. A Celebration of Life will follow at 1:00pm at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to an animal shelter of choice.
