Richard T. Huth

Richard “Dick” T. Huth, age 86, passed away peacefully at home on June 14, 2023. He was born in Barberton, Ohio to Kenneth and Agnes (Wallick) where he resided his entire life. He graduated from Barberton High School in 1954 and attended Kent State University. During his working years, he worked in Purchasing departments at B&W, McNeil/NRM and Goodyear Aerospace. Richard was an avid reader and loved hunting, fishing, and golf. He spent many summer vacations fishing with friends and family in the UP and Canada.

He is survived by his loving wife, Martha of 61 years, daughter of Raymond and Madeline Hilt. He is also survived by sons, Scott (Jackie) and Glenn; daughter, Marla (Mike) Sidle; grandchildren, Kyle, Samantha, and Benjamin; sister, Elaine (Bernard) Hone; brother-in-law, Carl (Eleanor) Hilt; and sister-in-law, Jan Hilt.

The family would like to thank the staff of Summa Hospice, especially Dawn and Donna, for their excellent care of Dick.

Per Dick’s wishes, his remains will be cremated and a Memorial Mass at St. Augustine Church, 204 6th St NW, Barberton, is planned for July 7th at 10:00 AM.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Augustine’s Endowment Fund or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
