Robert G. Knicely ("Gunny")
Robert, age 73, passed away peacefully on May 16, 2025.
Gunny proudly served in the United States Marine Corps for 16 years, including during the Vietnam Conflict and Operation Desert Storm. A true patriot, he carried his identity as a Marine with deep pride throughout his life.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Betty Knicely, and sisters Anna Wyatt and Linda Michelli.
He is survived by his sister, Joyce Knicely; brother, Jeff (Susan) Knicely; sons, Robert (Lori) Everett of Cape Carteret, North Carolina and Ryan Everett of Havelock, North Carolina; and grandsons, Daniel and Brennan Everett. He also leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews, including special nieces Heather (Joel) Weeks and Jill (Dan) Knicely, and special nephews Michael and Cody Mertz.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to the staff at Pleasant View Healthcare Center for their patience, compassion, and dedicated care. A special thank you also goes to Summa Barberton Hospital for the kindness and support shown to Gunny and his family during his final days.

Visitation will be held at Cox-McNulty Funeral Home, 222 Norton Avenue, Barberton, Ohio 44203 on Thursday, May 22, 2025, from 3:00 - 4:00 p.m. with a funeral service to follow.
