Ronald Phelps Sr. Obituary

Ronald L. Phelps Sr. died peacefully in Barberton Ohio on August 13th 2018 at the age of 62.

He is survived by sons, Ronald Jr. and Bryan; former spouse, Patricia; brothers, Andrew (Diane), Donald Jr. (Kathy); and sister, Myelica. In addition to his parents, Ronald is preceded in death by his brother, Marshal and sister, Sandi Reed (Rick).

Ronald was born on May 10th, 1956 in Akron, Ohio to Donald and Mary. He graduated from Green High School in 1974 and then went to serve in the United States Marine Corps for 3 years. He lived in Green Ohio most of his life and was a retired truck driver/dispatcher.

To say Ronald was an avid fisherman is an understatement. He never missed an opportunity to go fishing and he was always willing to take anyone with him, especially children. He impacted the lives of many, through fishing, and will he be deeply missed.

Family will receive friends, Thursday, August 23rd, 2018 from 6:00 – 8:00pm at Cox-McNulty Funeral Home, 222 Norton Avenue, Barberton. Burial with full military honors will be held Friday, August 24th, 2018 at 1:00pm at Manchester Cemetery, W. Nimisila Rd, New Franklin Ohio, 44216 (Located on West Nimisila Road, 1/16th mile west of the jct. of Manchester Road (SR 93) and W. Nimisila Road)
