Russell Farkas

Russell Farkas passed away December 11, 2020.  He was born October 22, 1937 in Copley Ohio.  Russell was a proud member of the U.S. Navy, serving on the USS Fred T Berry.  He worked at Henry Furnace in Medina and retired from the University of Akron where he worked as a stationary engineer.  His passion in life was working on his antique cars and spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren.   Russell is preceded in death by his wife, Barbara;  He is survived by sons, Brett R. and Russell E.; stepchildren, Pam Hastings and Gary Harvey; his beloved grand and great grandchildren; his brothers, Richard, Tom and Jim; and his sister, Doris Burdette.  
The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 27, 2020 at Cox-McNulty Funeral Home, 1376 High St. in Wadsworth, Ohio.  Burial will take place at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery.  Memorials may be made in Russell's name to D.A.V. or Cleveland Clinic Hospice.
