Beloved son, brother, grandson, nephew, cousin, friend.

Jaggert Zander Oakes, age 22, of Barberton, Ohio, passed suddenly on May 15, 2024, at USAG Humphreys, Republic of Korea.

Jaggert was born in Barberton, Ohio in 2001. He graduated from Barberton High School in May of 2019, before joining the Army in July of 2019. Following Basic Combat Training, SPC Oakes graduated from the Delta Company, 369th Adjutant General Battalion and was awarded the Military Occupation Specialty of Human Resources Specialist (42A) at Fort Jackson, South Carolina. 

Jaggert is survived by his father, Benjamin Lee Oakes and mother, Amanda Shree Oakes (nee Synder), as well as his sister, Caitlyn Nichole Joseph and brother, SPC Calvin Lee Oakes. As well as many other family members and friends.

A visitation will be held Friday, June 14, 2024 10:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. at Cox – McNulty Funeral Home, 222 Norton Avenue, Barberton, Ohio 44203. A burial is to follow at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery, 10175 Rawiga Road, Seville, Ohio 44273 with full honors.
