Sharon Kay Thomas (McGalliard), age 74, of Barberton, Ohio, passed away May 9, 2025, after a long battle with COPD surrounded by loved ones. Born September 4, 1950, to Charles and Eupha McGalliard, Sharon was the oldest of four children. 

She attended Barberton City Schools and landed a job at Akron General Hospital where she worked for over 25 years and in which she retired from. Sharon had a huge personality, she was such a fun, beautiful soul and so full of life! She was a member of many local clubs and enjoyed spending time with family and friends. Loved by all who knew her, she will be greatly missed.

Sharon is survived by her granddaughters: Ashley Yeager, Katie Cessna, Nicole Rhodes (JP) and Victoria Artrip Thomas (Dustin); her great-grandsons: Kenyan and Jayceon; her brother, Rick McGalliard (Roxanne); her sister, Ellie McGalliard; as well as many nieces, nephews and special friends.

She is preceded in death by her sons: David and Steven Thomas; her parents: Charles and Eupha McGalliard; her sisters: Kimberly McGalliard and Gracie McGalliard Watson; and her brother, Charles McGalliard.
