Thomas Miner Obituary

Thomas Miner, age 75, passed away September 14, 2021 after an extended illness with heart conditions.

Thomas was born in Barberton, Ohio on March 28, 1946 to the late A. Thomas and Geraldine Miner. He was an Electrical Engineer graduate of the University of Akron. He became owner/ operator of Norton Radio and TV, worked for the U of A Polymer Engineering Department, NFM Welding, and Starpoint.

Tom enjoyed tinkering in his garage, music and projects like the construction of the pool. He was a past President of the Norton Kiwanis; he was a member of the First Lutheran Church, where he sang in the choir and was involved with the church picnics, youth group and Cherry Blossom Floats. He was a Boy Scout. Tom loved spending time with his family at many gatherings and will be missed by all who knew him.

Preceded in death by his parents and son, Jonathan Miner; Tom is survived by his wife of 53 years, Dorothy; sisters, Kathleen (David) Homan and Eileen Woodmansee; brother, A. Daniel (Jane); and many nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 3:00-7:00pm on WEDNESDAY, September 22nd at Cox- McNulty Funeral Home, 222 Norton Avenue, Barberton. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00am on THURSDAY, September 23rd at First Lutheran Church.

Per the wishes of the family, please wear a mask during attendance of all services.
