William "Bill" Clifford Lockett

William "Bill" Clifford Lockett left this life after 87 years on December 15, 2019. He is loved and will be missed by his children Christina (Gary) Owens, Karen (Michael) Reitz, and Barbara (Mark Kleshinski) Lockett; his grandchildren Benjamin (Molly) and Alyssa Danielle Owens, Margaret (Zachary) Reitz-Wells, and Nathan and Johnathan Kleshinski. His love of nature is the legacy he gave to all of his children and grandchildren.

Bill was preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Frances (nee Beach); his parents, William A. and Mabel Lockett; and brothers, Willard, Gilbert, Gerald, Larry, and Ronald. He leaves behind sisters, Ethel Kopilchack, Deen Westerman and Rena Dempsey, along with many other family members and friends.

Bill was born and raised in Belsena Mills, PA. He grew up in central Pennsylvania and served in the Korean War. With the skills he learned in Army radio school, he worked for telephone companies in Ohio. His greatest joys in life were family, friends, gardening, hunting, baseball, football, traveling, talking with anyone, and sharing a cup of coffee.

Visitation will be held Thursday, December 19 from 3:30 - 5:30 PM at Cox-McNulty Funeral Home, 1376 High Street, Wadsworth. Funeral services will be held Friday, December 20 11:00 AM at the funeral home with Pastor Dale Turner officiating. Interment will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery, Wadsworth.
