Gerald L. Mullett
October 28,1936 - July 30, 2017
On Sunday July 30,2017 with a broken heart, our mother Joann said goodbye to her beloved husband and our father Gerald L. Mullett.
Family was always the source of his joy. On November 17, 1956 he married the love of his life, Joann who adored him. They went on to raise seven children who shared innumerable experiences. He always found a way to provide adventures, like building a pop-up tent camper for nine, that took us on so many trips over the years even Wyoming and Yellowstone National Park. Everyone that knew him also knew that he always smiled, loved talking and singing goofy songs. If he met someone he didn't know, they never parted strangers.
Gerald was in the Air National Reserves right out of high school and worked at Babcock & Wilcox as a welder, then inspector, retiring in 1992. He tinkered in RV repair. For many years he officiated at high school football games. He never slowed down and could find a solution for nearly every puzzle. He was the “go to guy” for so many.
Gerald leaves behind his wife of 60 years, Joann, (the love of his life), and their seven children Rosemarie (Kerry) Keller, Kathleen (Mark) Boswell, Delores (Bill) Strossman, Joseph Mullett, Beth (Dan) Miller, Jerry Mullett, Denise (Mike) Bisaha. He was adored by his 16 grandchildren and 12 great- grandchildren. He is also survived by two brothers, Kenneth and Fred Mullett.
He was preceded in death by his parents Charles and Hattie Mullett and eight brothers, Lee, David, Ronald, Donald, Frank, Harry, Bill, and Carl. Also two sisters, Ruby and Doris.
He always told our mom “you know I love you, I always have loved you”
He leaves with a smile on his face and a place in our hearts
