Marie will be fondly remembered by our family. Her obituary is a lovely tribute to a woman who had a very interesting life. She pulled the best out of her students, inspiring them and nurturing their talents. Her passion and devotion to the arts was passed on to many. We were blessed to have known her. Our most sincere sympathy for your loss.

Dear Francine,
Your Mom was such a strong and giving woman. I remember sitting around your kitchen table laughing, eating, talking theatre! Fond memories. God Bless her. She and your Dad and Roselle are having a beautiful reunion! God Bless them!
It is so very hard to lose your Mother.
Your wonderful memories will sustain you. I will keep you and your family in my thoughts and prayers.
With Deepest Sympathy,
MaryAnn Black

We lost a truly wonderful friend. What Gene and Marie did for the countless folks that entered the rehearsal hall of S.W.C.A is just no small undertaking. The fun, the discipline, the friendships, and their involvement in peoples lives made relationships that still last to today. So we are talking over 50 years and then some. They had a gift of getting the one thing that you can never get back--time.

Marie, you will truly be missed and I know that you are now together with Gene and Roselle, Tim, and others who have preceded us. You always gave of yourself and the many people that you directed will always remain your legacy. I can never repay what you did not only for me. but also; for the counties numbers of men, women, and children who wanted to sing, act, and dance in the world of community musical comedy theatre. God Bless yu and rest in peace!!! (Bobba)

Carolyn and family,
What a beautifully written tribute, what a wonderful life to have been spent doing what she loved. Our prayers of comfort as you grieve, knowing she's likely preparing a new script up in heaven for a brand new production 💜

Marie was one in a million. She had more talent in her little finger than most of us have in our whole selves. She has been a forever friend and we will miss her terribly. She was intelligent and very perceptive. She read people well, and we were all better for knowing her. She dearly missed, Gene, her dear husband, who also was the backbone of Southwest Cultural Arts. She also never stopped mourning her departed daughters, Rosemarie and Rosell. She pointed out talent and positive characteristics of people that most of us would not have recocgnized. We loved you Maria, and always will. You will never be forgotton. Condolences to her loving daughter, Francine and the rest of her family and friends.
