Timothy E. Tucker

Timothy E. Tucker, surrounded by loved ones, passed away after an unbelievable battle with cancer on Thursday September 8, 2016. Born February 10, 1956 in Stasburg Ohio, Tim was just 60 years old. He proudly served in the United States Navy from which he was honorably discharged in 1979. Later he graduated from Malone College with degrees in Business and Psychology. Tim married the love of his life, Laurie Hupp in 1990 and spent the next 26 years of their lives together raising 10 beautiful children. He enjoyed helping his kids with school projects, fashioning Halloween costumes, and coaching their various sports teams. His family remembers him for his unconditional love, gentle demeanor, generous behavior, and plethora of corny jokes. Tim also volunteered much of his time to Crisis Pregnancy Centers and Right to Life, as he strongly believed in protecting any and all children.
Tim was preceded in death by his parents Albert & Joanne Tucker, sisters Christine Pounds, Lori Tucker, Ann Myers, and precious Iliana.
Tim is survived by his loving wife Laurie Tucker. Siblings Tom (Barb) Tucker & Sandra (Frank) Metcalf. Children: Nickie (Adam) Loomis, Sarah Walker, Tory (Jen) Tucker, Brent (Amanda) Tucker, Devon Tucker, Katie (Rick) Jenkins, Anthony, Tiffany, Kayden. Grandchildren: Macie, Megan, Abigail, Alexis, Violet, Owen, Joey and Ava and soon-to-be baby Jenkins. There are also many surviving nieces and nephews.
Tim was a member of Victory Chapel, where his funeral services will be held at 32 W Bellisle Dr. in Akron Monday, September 12th at 11:00am. Calling hours at the church will be held Sunday, September 11th from 4:00pm to 8:00pm &  before the service on Monday, September 12th from  10:00am to11:00am.
